“Mediterranean Harmonies” Featured on RTSH’s “Ura” Programme

The “Mediterranean Harmonies” Festival and the participation of the Albanian community in Lecce were featured in an episode of the television programme “Ura”, hosted by Artur Bejzade and broadcast on RTSH 3.

During the programme, the initiatives promoted by ASAL Student and the “Vatra Jonë” Ensemble were presented, highlighting their participation in the festival through Albanian music, dance and cultural performances.

The guests included Lindita Ngresi, representing “Vatra Jonë”, singer Meli Hajdëraj, and parody performers from Vlora, who shared their experience of “Voices of Albania” and the contribution of Albanian artists to the Mediterranean Harmonies Festival.

Their participation in the programme offered an important opportunity to introduce Albanian audiences to the work carried out in Lecce to promote intercultural dialogue and preserve Arbëresh and Shqiptar traditions.

Through music, dance, performance and personal testimonies, the Mediterranean Harmonies Festival created a space for encounter between Albania and Salento, strengthening relations between communities on both shores of the Adriatic.

The programme also highlighted the role of ASAL Student and the “Vatra Jonë” Ensemble in promoting the Albanian language, collective memory and cultural heritage in Italy.
